Thanks & more thanks

Hello just want to say thank you for everyone who keeps visiting me, really appreciate it. The lady who ordered the card (thanks for the message) thought the card was fantastic (her words) thank you - really, really pleased you liked it. Hope your friend likes it too!
Also thanks big bro for my extra birthday pressie today - complete series of Watching. I absolutely love that series - did anyone use to watch it in the 80's?????? He already got me FCUK bag with goodies in which was great now this. Thanks - great having big brothers eh!!!
Well, I haven't got any piccies to show you today but off now to do couple more easter cards hopefully so will try to upload them in next day or two.

Card order for 50th Birthday

Happy Birthday to ME!!!!!!!

Hope you are all having a good day! I've been to the gym and been to see my Dad who seems ok, in lots of pain and struggling with his breathing but ok. I decided to try and finish the card order I had seeing as she needs it for Tuesday. God I don't feel confident with it at all but did what I could - just hope its ok and she likes it. First card order from a stranger

Well, my dad came out of hospital last night which was good news but it was really worrying last night he didn't seem to be breathing very good at all but seems better today so fingers crossed. It was my niece, Beth, birthday today - 13 - teenager at last!!! Hope you had a great day Beth xxx
I received my first card order from a stranger (not a relative or friend - who all my orders so far have been from). Was really, really pleased especially as it came about from a card she received that I made! Anyway I got some instructions/notes and that was when I became very worried. These are what I received.
Friends 50th, like his name on front, Kevin and age 50. He lives in Blackpool and would like colour of card to be tangerine. He runs a gay Hotel in Blackpool (he is gay) so a picture of fawlty towers hotel or Blackpool tower. Perhaps include the gay pride flag somewhere on the card and some gay celebs. He used to work for a dairy company so a milk float wouldn't go amiss and he used to show Budgies!!!! also written a verse to be included (quite long so won't put on here).
Well, I'm doing my best but I really don't know what its going to be like - why can't I get an order to do a nice Magnolia card with lots of flowers, gems etc LOL x
I'm hoping to finish it tomorrow so will post it on here and would love to know what you think. Really hope it doesn't offend anyone as well.

Hi, no cards to share, sorry. I did make another quickie easter card on monday night but not had chance to photograph it - will try to do in next day or two and upload.
Unfortunately spent all of yesterday at QMC Hospital. Got a phone call at work about 10.30 to say ambulance was taking my dad to the hospital. I didn't have a clue what was going on but assumed he'd lost his balance and fallen as he had done this quite a lot last year but nothing in the last 5 months or so really. But when I got to hospital found that he had actually fallen down the last 3 stairs at home and fell into the living room door that was ajar. He has broken 2 ribs and has a collapsed lung which is same lung as he punctured nearly 2 years ago so not good at all. They have hold of tubing his lung, hoping it won't get any worse and will start to re-inflate itself. He has emphysema so already struggles a lot. He looked dreadful but thankfully painkillers and steroids and oxygen have started kicking in and he's beginning to look much better. They are x-raying his lung again tomorrow to check to see if its got any worse if it has they have got to tube it which we really, really don't want to happen (they had to do it when he punctured his lung and they lost him for a few seconds - it was awful treatment I stayed with him and pushing the tube in through his side whilst totally aware of it all including the pain of it was just unbelievable, I threw up and he was in agony) I really don't think he could cope with it again. Fingers, toes and everything else is crossed that they haven't got to do it - they don't want to do it either because of the damage already to that lung.
Anyway, really sorry to go on but just wanted to get it off my chest. Hopefully be back to crafting in a few days.
